THE MESSAG E OF SALVATION     Salvation is the act of rescueing someone from harm to safty.  In the New Testament, the term salvation describes two essential components of a Christian’s life: Being delivered from the penalty of sin, which is eternal death (Romans 6:23) "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"  Key Interpretations of Romans 6:23:The Wages of Sin (Death): Sin is described as breaking God's law, which earns a "payment" or "reasonable return."  Sin is a separation from God, encompassing both physical and spiritual death. The Gift of God (Life): Unlike wages, is Being delivered from mortality and given the gift of eternal life. This gift of eternal life is available only through faith in Jesus Christ, the Mediator who absorbed the cost of sin. The story of Manasseh and the Lantern. When Manasseh first heard the King's call to embark on a journey, he imagined bright roads, cheering crowds, and victories that would come easily. With confidence in his own abilities, he packed strong ropes, sharp tools, and enough provisions to last a lif etime. The King smiled and handed him only one thing—a small lantern. "This will be enough," the King said. Mansseh thanked Him, though secretly he wondered why the King had overlooked everything else and have given him just a lantern. The journey began well. Manasseh crossed rivers, climbed hills, and solved problems with his own skill. Each success convinced him that his strength was carrying him closer to the King's purpose.
