DAY 8 — PRAYING FOR THE SICK AND SUFFERING

James 5:16 "Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

Scripture: James 5:14–16

Encouragement:
God invites us to bring the needs of others before Him. Intercession is an expression of love.

Intercessory Prayer:
Lord, remember those who are sick, suffering, recovering, or facing difficult medical circumstances. Give them strength, comfort, wisdom, and appropriate care. Be near to their families.

Spiritual Growth:
Spend dedicated time praying for others rather than focusing only on your own needs.

Journal:
Who needs my prayers today?  Write down their name and a specific, bold prayer for their healing, encouragement, or spiritual strength today. Reach out afterward to let them know you prayed for them.

Prayer
"Lord, thank You for the gift of community and the privilege of carrying each other’s burdens. Today, I lift up the person reading this. Fill them with Your peace, strengthen their faith, and remind them that they are never alone. Help us to be a constant source of encouragement and a powerful shield of prayer for one another. In Jesus' name, Amen."

"Wow! It's day 8 of Daily Corner of Faith. I hope you're blessed as you read this                article."
"Are you born again? If you've not received Jesus Christ into your life, now is the time.
Say this Prayer of Salvation: 'Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I am sorry for my wrongs, and I turn away from them. Come into my heart, Jesus, and be the Lord of my life. Thank you for saving me and giving me a new life.' Amen."
If you just prayed that prayer from your heart, congratulations, welcome to the family of God! Your past is forgiven, and a beautiful new journey has begun.
